Although, or just because, I'm a man, I can't get enough of looking into the different and somehow mysterious lives of the opposite sex. Especially into those of the very creative and alternative and special women, those who by their very existence make this planet a better one.

Valerie Phillips is not only a gifted photographer, but also a person who pretty much only photographs what I find interesting. Girls being girls, for example. They laugh and they bounce and they know that the future is open to them, no matter what the previous generations try to tell them with their dusty and long outdated views.

Her book is called Another Girl Another Planet and immortalizes rebels like Arvida Byström and her kind in the here and now and for all time. After all, they belong to a feminist and vocal group who want to improve all our lives. With art. With music. Or simply by breathing loudly and quietly and fighting. Always.
