This Week’s Rotation
I’m spinning through the same few things on repeat. Lykke Li keeps me tethered—that strange electronic production, her voice suspended inside it like she’s singing from somewhere else entirely. There’s a tension in how she sits in the mix that makes you listen differently.
The National hit different lately. Their songs move at a crawl, Will Oldham’s voice scraping against concrete, and you just let it. Then Black Kids showed back up in something I was listening to and remembered why that whole moment mattered. It’s less about discovery and more about what lands right now—same room, same speakers, same time of day. That’s the whole week.
