No Backup

So TokyoPunk didn’t come back. Not really. I restarted the whole thing, and half a year of posts just evaporated—January through June 2007. I still don’t know exactly what happened. I just know they’re gone.

Do I have a backup? Please. Look at me. Do I look like the kind of person who maintains backups? Exactly.

The worst part is knowing that someone, somewhere, probably still has them. Maybe you’ve got them sitting in an old feed reader you never cleaned out. Maybe you printed something and stuck it on your wall and forgot about it. Maybe someone actually did break into the database just because they could, and now they’ve got six months of deleted TokyoPunk posts gathering dust on a hard drive. If that’s you—if you have anything from those months—I want it back.
