MTV Berlin

I got to the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin that November. Shakira, The Veronicas, Tokio Hotel—decent lineup for that moment. It’s one of those events where the spectacle matters more than the music, where the whole point is just being in the room and watching the industry do its thing. Cold night, crowded venue, everyone trying to look important. I remember feeling like I was watching something that meant everything for a few hours and nothing the day after.
