Scott Matthew – White Horse

I don’t remember how I found Scott Matthew, but there’s this song called White Horse and I can’t stop thinking about it. The kind of thing that doesn’t ask permission—it just hits you and won’t let go.

He’s not famous, which is probably the point. No hype, no algorithm, just a person and a song that matters anyway. Maybe it matters more because it’s not being sold to you.

I put it on with headphones at full volume and everything else disappeared. The arrangement builds in this patient, deliberate way, and by the time you realize what’s happening you’re already gone. I had tears running down my face before the first verse was over, and I don’t usually cry at songs.

That’s the thing about stumbling onto something genuinely beautiful—you want to tell someone right away, even though there’s no way to explain it that doesn’t sound desperate. You just send the link and hope they get it.
