I’m drawn to people who don’t fit neatly into categories—the kind who keep your imagination running on half-truths and mysteries. Nothing sexier than that. Besides cheesecake, maybe.

Found Jessica Daniels, this American photographer from LA, somewhere in the depths of a website about sex in art. Looking through her Flickr, I still can’t figure out what she actually is. Model, musician, photographer—all of it, probably. The ambiguity is the point. Risky photographs next to intimate portraits next to dirty groupie shots. Nothing resolves into a clear picture.

There’s something about not knowing that keeps you looking. Work with Eric Kroll that probably says more than it should. And somehow the whole thing makes me think about cheesecake.
