Crush On You is the kind of track that works because nothing’s wasted. Just the vocal, the drums, the low end—Nero figured out that drum and bass could be minimal and still hit hard. I’ve been cycling through their stuff for like fifteen years. They never sounded dated because they never sounded like they were chasing anything, which is maybe the only way to make electronic music that lasts.
