’I Can See Through You’ doesn’t ask much of you. The Horrors keep it lean—guitars, bass, the weight of the rhythm—and there’s something about that restraint that makes it hit harder. The song finds this pocket where everything just locks in place, and you remember why people still care about this band. It’s post-punk that knows what it is without having to prove anything.
