Lotus Flower does something different from the rest of The King of Limbs. That driving beat, everything else stripped down—it pushes forward like it doesn’t need your permission. The real pull is the video though, Thom’s body moving without self-consciousness, like it’s the only true thing in the frame. Not a performance, just presence. I watched that more times than I listened to the song.
