Those Dancing Days: Reaching Forward

Those Dancing Days were a Swedish indie pop band from the late 2000s who made these intricate, strange records. Weird production, melodies that didn’t give themselves up easy, all this care underneath the prettiness. They never got huge, staying mostly in certain internet corners, and they’ve kind of scattered and reformed a few times over the years. But I still think about their albums more than seems reasonable for a band that never broke through in any obvious way. The kind of thing you find at exactly the right moment and can’t shake.
