Shady Love

The Scissor Sisters made pop music that wasn’t trying to be something else. ’Shady Love’ is pure gloss and beat, total theater, and that’s the whole appeal. I’ve never understood people who need their pop to hide under irony or reach for some deeper meaning. Sometimes the surface is the entire point.
