The Toy Photographer

I don’t know much about toy photography, but I know what I’m looking at when I see Brian McCarty’s work. He photographs plastic figures like they’re worth photographing—lights them properly, composes them carefully, gives them the attention you’d give to something you actually made. It’s changed how I think about the difference between an object and a subject.
