I keep coming back to Sky Ferreira. There’s something about the way she makes longing sound like decoration—production so thin and cool it’s almost nothing, just enough space around her voice to make you listen harder. You’re never quite sure if she’s looking at you or through you, and I think that’s exactly the point.
