Everything Is Embarrassing

The song doesn’t do much. Sky’s voice does the work—low, almost spoken, then breaking into something more exposed. No production trick to hide behind, no irony as a shield.

Everything is embarrassing, the title says. Everything is human, which means the same thing. There’s something radical about admitting that plainly, without the usual devices to protect yourself.

I remember first hearing it and feeling the relief of that admission. The embarrassment isn’t something to overcome or disguise—it’s just part of the deal. Part of being awake to anything at all.
