The Only Truth Is Music
Since I gave up on streaming services of all kinds a long time ago, I was looking for a good music player for Linux that would let me listen to my local songs without any problems. I tried out a few and ultimately settled on the default player for KDE Plasma. The software is called Elisa, and it reminds me of iTunes back when it was still good. There are no recommendations, no algorithms, and no invisible hand that could take my FLAC files away from me overnight due to some licensing issues. It’s great. Most of my collection consists of more or less obscure Japanese music. But I’m also open to, among other things, Korean mainstream, 70s jazz, and hippie rock, topped off with minimalist electro, melodic metal, and classical pieces from long-gone dictatorships.
