A spineless man gets lost in a Tokyo subway station. Gradually, he realizes that he will only find his way out of this brightly tiled labyrinth if he also succeeds in his search for himself. On his endlessly repeating journey, he encounters other cursed souls whose redemption seems impossible. 8番出口 is what happens when someone stares at an M. C. Escher drawing for too long and becomes one with its possibilities.
