How much I like a film more often than I'd like depends on the question of how much I hated the kid playing in it. In the worst case, children in movies are useless baggage whose only job is to be annoying, make dumb decisions, and hopefully enjoy an early demise. In the best case, they're as irreplaceable as Su-an in Train to Busan, which I finally watched as a lover of apocalyptic bedtime stories. It has everything a zombie flick needs: Bloody action, relatable characters - and by the end I was bawling my eyes out.
