Nono Rabbit
I was really looking forward to Jojo Rabbit, because I thought, ah, this is bound to be a really nice film with charming characters, funny incidents, and a touch of heart-wrenching, positive drama in the midst of the darkest period of German history. And that's exactly what Jojo Rabbit turned out to be. Actually, everything fit. And yet I can't say that the story of the little Nazi Johannes and his quirky adventures in the caricatured Third Reich gave me all that much. Jojo Rabbit comes across as a strange Wes Anderson knockoff, with affected characters, tired jokes, and an unnecessary Adolf Hitler as an imaginary friend. Too bad.
