Kangaroo on a Hot Stone

My grandma’s birthday dinner at a restaurant. The starter was pumpkin seed soup—not exotic by any measure, but I’d never had it before, and it was good enough that I asked them to box up the rest. Main course was kangaroo, which you grilled yourself on a hot stone at the table, served with fries and mayo. Properly weird, properly great.
