Shedding Skin on a Sunday

When things end, I redesign the website. It’s not rational—more like cutting your hair after a bad month, or repainting a room you haven’t cleaned in years. The Japan aesthetic had been sitting there long enough to feel permanent, all clean lines and quiet cool. Gone now. Version 6.1 is called "Gogo" and it goes somewhere darker, less decorative, less interested in being pleasant. The life shifted; the site had to follow.

The sound and video archive didn’t survive the migration. I’m not sure I care. A new section called "Army base" showed up in its place—sharper edges, different energy. This place has always been more tied to my actual life than I like to admit, which means it breaks when the life breaks and gets rebuilt alongside it. The site, at least, comes back clean.
