Better Things Than Halloween 5

We watched Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers at Mille’s place. I went in with low expectations and the film still managed to fall short of them. Boring is the exact word—not bad-good, not fun-bad, just slow and dull and a waste of Michael Myers, who deserves better even when the series doesn’t.

The better event of the evening had nothing to do with the screen. Somewhere in the middle of all that tedium, two people in the room—Pale and Madeleine—apparently sorted things out between themselves. I don’t know the exact mechanics of how it happened. These things have their own logic, and a bad horror movie is as good a backdrop as any.

Congratulations to both of them. Sometimes a boring film is just what the evening needed.
