Blue Screen, Goodbye
Somewhere around the fourth blue screen this year I stopped feeling frustrated and started feeling done. Windows had been accumulating its particular brand of entropy for long enough—the slowdowns, the incompatibilities, the crashes that arrive without warning or apology—and I was ready to stop treating it like a problem to manage and start treating it like a door to walk out of.
I’m switching to Mac. The Aqua interface, the clean aluminum frames, that white hardware design that makes everything sitting next to it look apologetic—I’ve been watching it from the outside long enough. I know it won’t solve everything. But the bar I’m clearing is low, and I’m ready to clear it.
Goodbye, blue screen. We’re done here.
