Thunder Eater, Ankorman, and the Rest

Jenny over at Station 57 started a meme: photograph your desk and account for what’s on it. Mine is, for once, unusually tidy, so the timing actually works.

From left: a stack of magazines—Computer Arts Projects on top, PAGE below it, a copy of blond underneath that. Behind those, a pack of Wrigley’s Extra Professional gum, my phone, and a Beck’s Green Lemon. The desk lamp has a postcard from The O.C. clipped to it and next to it, in a black frame, a photo of Ana and me. In front of the lamp: my black iPod nano, and my two small cardboard companions, Thunder Eater and Ankorman, standing guard as they have for longer than most objects on this desk. Center stage belongs to the Xerox monitor, and to its right, the thing I’m most pleased with: the Mac mini. White keyboard and mouse in front.
