Ana’s Cheat Code

Four hours of school and it still managed to feel like eight. The Battleships rematch with Bene got cancelled at the last minute, and I spent part of the afternoon watching what was probably one of the final episodes of Giga Green—that low-level melancholy you get when you know a show is in its dying months.

Later, the gym with Ana. We watched Mille doing something strange with poles and were half convinced one of the regulars was actually John. On the way out Ana told me she treats every workout like a video game—you’re always trying to reach the next level, and that’s what makes it fun. I’ve been thinking about it all wrong apparently. Now there’s pizza warming in the oven, Grey’s Anatomy on in the background, and a pile of business accounting flashcards that aren’t going to learn themselves.
