Three Days, Briefly

Friday was Ana’s long-overdue birthday party at the Americano in Türkheim. We left after two hours because boredom had started winning, but I was already a few drinks deep by then. Mille brought his new girlfriend Anette, who turned out to be genuinely funny—I was hoping she’d come along Saturday too. Only seeing these people reminded me how long it had been since I’d actually spent time with most of them. Some of them I still can’t explain.

Saturday was strange in a way I couldn’t name. Stayed at Becca’s, which fixed it. Sunday was the kind of day where the couch and the Mac take turns—I spent most of it teaching Becca how to fish and gather resources in World of Warcraft, which felt like either domesticity or a very slow date.

Monday back at school: art class making posters, business class where Apple and iPod came up (obviously), and I managed to prove to Katha that I can unhook a bra one-handed without breaking stride. Important skills for a Monday morning.
