Thaddäus

In the German dub, Squidward’s name is Thaddäus—and I think it suits him better. Driving pizzas around town at odd hours lately, I’ve been cataloguing the parallels: perpetually bad mood, check; refusing to eat anything at work because I’m on a health kick, check; spending every shift just wanting to go home, check. The only counter-argument I have is that at least I don’t want to be SpongeBob.

The days have settled into a loop almost meditative in its dullness. Wake up, breakfast, study, One Piece, chat, work, bed. That’s it. Last night Ana and I broke the pattern with a McDonald’s run at midnight, which sounds insignificant but felt like a small event worth noting.
