Apple Tobacco and Skip-Bo

Just got back from the family party. Drunk and high. I’ll call that a success.

My aunt kept cycling my glass through some relentless maternal rotation—Sekt, Radler, multivitamin juice, back to Sekt—while my young cousin and I found a shisha, loaded it with apple tobacco, and played Skip-Bo for hours listening to Blur. That’s the formula. That’s when these things actually work.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the blogosphere, a heated debate had apparently broken out about RSS feeds—whether they should support embedded video, whose fault it is when something breaks in a reader, the usual. I don’t have strong feelings about it. RSS is a way to read blog posts more easily. Standards will catch up eventually, from video embeds to whatever comes after. Some things just need patience.
