The Version You Fell For First

Vimeo was already mine before the redesign. The old interface had a quality YouTube never managed—unhurried, clean, better compression, a community that actually posted short films instead of reaction content. I didn’t need them to change anything.

They changed it anyway, and honestly it’s fine. Nice, even. Tighter layout, sharper typography. I still prefer what I remember, the way you always prefer the version of something you fell in love with first—but this isn’t a betrayal. Just a new coat on a thing I still like.
