Fake School, Real Feeling

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately with people in their final Abi semester, and there’s a specific mood to it—everyone aware that the clock is running out on something, nobody quite ready to say it out loud. The Metros had a school-themed video doing the rounds that landed exactly right for that feeling. The Abitur is the German final school exam, the door between one life and whatever comes next, and there’s a collective electricity around people standing in front of it that’s hard not to absorb, even from the outside.
