Munich Runs Berlin

Berlin’s new phone books went out this spring with Munich’s city hall on the cover. Not a metaphor—two image files got swapped at the publisher, and now the Neues Rathaus at Marienplatz is greeting every resident of the capital instead of the Rotes Rathaus on the Spree. The TVG Verlag called it a regrettable error. Next reprint: twelve months away. Twelve months of Munich quietly presiding over Berlin from every residential hallway in the city. There are worse fates.

Pickup line of the week: Hey, don’t I know you from somewhere? Maybe from the cellar in Amstetten.
