Rockie Nolan is from Georgia, takes pictures with a soft, slightly faded quality—summer recalled rather than summer documented—and has freckles I find wholly unreasonable. Her Flickr is fadedfilmstrips, which is also a perfect description of the entire aesthetic.

She listens to Rilo Kiley, Mates of State, and Tilly and the Wall, which means we’d have something to talk about. The music taste overlaps almost exactly with mine. There’s something that feels less like discovery and more like recognition when someone’s reference points map this cleanly onto yours.
