North by Northwest

Wedding. One of those Berlin neighborhoods that exists in permanent suspension—neither fashionable enough to gentrify nor rough enough to generate mythology. Tomi was afraid of it. Anna already lived there. Frédéric had written a whole piece about waiting for it to finally arrive somewhere. And starting this autumn, so do I.

A small, warm Altbau apartment, sitting exactly between my job and trade school, currently occupied by a cute blonde Hello Kitty fan with an aquarium. Goodbye, beloved Charlottenburg. Goodbye, Wilmersdorfer Straße. Goodbye, Sonja. Not quite yet—but soon. I’m already looking forward to it.
