The Fifty-Foot Afternoon

Spent the entire afternoon watching something online I can’t explain or justify. But it has the energy of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman—that 1958 movie where a woman gets irradiated, grows to an impossible size, and immediately goes looking for her cheating husband, which is honestly the most proportionate response to alien radiation I’ve ever seen. The giant woman as unstoppable natural force. The world shrunk small enough that your usual problems are literally crushed underfoot. I’ve always found that image weirdly compelling and I’m not going to examine why too hard.
