Chrome Was Here First

Chrome were Helios Creed on guitar and Damon Edge on drums and synthesizers—a San Francisco duo making corroded, amp-fried electronic rock years before most people had a home computer. Proto-industrial, proto-noise, weird in ways that still hold up. They’re not a browser. They’re not a product of some data-hungry tech company’s naming department. They existed long before a comic strip was needed to explain why tabs don’t crash each other.

A browser from a search engine. Where does it end.
