The Bababababa Problem

I made the mistake of leaving it on in the background. One play of Could This Be by Lovers Electric—an Australian duo who look like the Ting Tings got dipped in ketchup and rolled in cotton candy—and that "bababababa" hook burrowed into my brain and refused to come out. Something this nakedly, aggressively sweet has no business working this well. And yet. I’m writing this partly as confession and partly as punishment: now you have to have it in your head too.
