Waiting in Good Clothes
Lele Saveri, photographer for Vice Italy, built a shoot this month around a single premise: model Alice, stood up, waiting for someone who isn’t coming. She’s dressed in Agnes B, Vivienne Westwood, and Levi’s—holding a lollipop, a balloon, a cake. The images are quiet and strangely beautiful, not mocking the situation but inhabiting it fully. That particular flavor of impatience, the slow dawning realization that you’ve been there too long and the person isn’t coming—everyone’s been there, overdressed or otherwise.
