The Sound of Letting Go

Bat for Lashes has the video out for Daniel, a track from the forthcoming album Two Suns, and Natasha Khan does what she always does—opens something up beneath you and leaves you falling at a very dignified pace. The melody has this quality of releasing its grip, easing off measure by measure, while her voice moves somewhere well below the surface of conscious thought. It’s the kind of song you don’t so much listen to as give in to. Go hear it.
