Between the Parties
Merlin Bronques described his Drive-By Series on LastNightsParty as the random stuff that happens between the parties
, which is about as clean a description as anyone has given for photographs that don’t belong anywhere else. Berlin is absurdly large. I take pictures constantly—most of them too incidental for their own post, too good to bury on a hard drive forever.
So I needed a container for the overflow. The name came to me while eating my grandmother’s Easter lamb, half-watching a gaming show on TV, working through a cold Beck’s: "Across The City." Not exactly groundbreaking, but it’s mine. The plan is irregular installments of everything that accumulates between the bigger entries—street corners, friends caught mid-gesture, whatever Berlin is doing at an odd hour.
Hannah and her friend Kristin are currently in Tokyo photographing themselves next to manga girls, so they’ll probably fill a few installments from there without much prompting. Already jealous.
