Masked Men Destroying Alarm Clocks

Most club music sounds like someone discovered a synthesizer twenty minutes ago and decided immediately that the world needed to know about it. Steve Aoki is the rare exception—pretty much the only person working in that space I’ll actually let near my ears without flinching.

His collaboration with The Bloody Beetroots, Warp, comes with what is probably the best music video I’ve seen all year: stylish people in masks smashing alarm clocks (I wanted one of those clocks), jumping around like absolute idiots in a way that somehow looks completely cool rather than choreographed, and generally conducting themselves with the kind of chaotic conviction that makes you want to move. Put it on loud and try to stay still.
