Summer as a Frequency
Bag Raiders built "Sunlight" around a feeling rather than a structure—it’s the kind of electronic track that arrives like a door opening somewhere warm, and you either fall through it or you don’t. The Australian duo had already made something cultishly beloved with their other work, and this sits in the same register: propulsive but unhurried, the beat doing exactly enough to keep you from just standing still. I’ve put it on at entirely the wrong time of year, in entirely the wrong weather, and it still makes a convincing argument that summer is available on demand if you want it badly enough.
