A Phone Called Hugo
His name is Hugo and he’s a Sony Ericsson W395—matte black, Walkman series, built for a world that still believed dedicated music phones were the future. He shows up, brings something strong to drink, puts on a little show. We gave him a name because that’s what you did in 2010 with a phone that had a personality: you named it. Smartphones would eventually make that impossible—too blank, too identical, too much a mirror of yourself. Hugo predates all that. Hugo has character.
He’s looking for a home. Aren’t we all, Hugo.
