The Taxidermy of Beautiful Things
Luc Braquet photographs things that have already stopped. His series Don’t Feed The Dead Animals operates in that unsettling zone where staging starts to feel forensic—arrangements that are clearly constructed yet carry the weight of something found rather than made. The dead-animal conceit isn’t shock for its own sake. It’s more a reminder that beauty and rot have always shared an address, and that the most arresting images tend to be the ones where something is already in the process of leaving.
