Chad Moore shoots photographs that feel stolen rather than taken—bedrooms, bodies, the in-between moments of young people who seem only vaguely aware of the camera. Kiss The Pain Away fits that frame exactly: intimacy as document, closeness as the entire aesthetic. His images occupy the space between private snapshot and fashion editorial, honest and a little dangerous at the same time, which is a very difficult place to land and he lands there consistently.
