Geometry of the Self

Bartosz Ludwinski makes illustrations that feel governed by a physics slightly adjacent to ours—figures broken into crystalline planes, bodies caught mid-transformation between flesh and mineral. The title We Are Like Crystals fits the work exactly: there’s an idea running through it about how structure becomes identity, how a person is defined by the angles they’ve hardened into over time. The images are precise and a little cold, the way real crystals are when you finally pick one up.
