Jessica Messenger made sticker art in the years before putting something adhesive on a lamppost became a content strategy. Small, printed, designed to colonize surfaces and outlast the people who made them—there’s a persistence to that kind of work that most gallery pieces never quite achieve. The street takes the art and does whatever it wants with it from there.
