Belgium in Full Fury

Balthazar are a Belgian band who sound like the aftermath of something—wine, a bad conversation, a decision made at 2 a.m. that seemed correct at the time. The Fury is all of that in compressed form: slow, deliberate, carrying the weight of something unresolved. The vocalist sings like he’s already accepted the worst of it, which somehow makes it worse. I’ve had this on repeat and I’m not ready to stop.
