Young Blood, Forever

"Young Blood" spent most of 2010 lodged in my brain like a splinter—that opening synth line arriving before the rest of the world has woken up, Alisa Xayalith’s voice cutting clean through whatever dull noise the day was trying to make. The Naked and the Famous built their early sound around the feeling of being young and slightly overwhelmed by it, and they were right to. Some songs are just correct about what it feels like to be alive at a specific moment, and this is one of them.
