The Wolf They Built for 2AM

Duck Sauce had already done the impossible—made a track called "Barbra Streisand" into a dancefloor moment that outlasted irony entirely. "Big Bad Wolf" arrived in late 2011 as a leaner, stranger follow-up: nursery-rhyme vocal hook, minimal funk, a bassline that thuds like something outside the door. A-Trak and Armand Van Helden didn’t try to chase the meme energy of what came before. The video committed fully to body-horror absurdism, which felt genuinely odd for a pop release at the time. It didn’t break the internet again. It didn’t need to.
