Fear and Love, Arriving Together

Peter Kernel make music that sounds like it might fall apart at any moment and then doesn’t, which is its own kind of skill. "Panico! This Is Love" lives up to both halves of its title—genuine anxiety in the guitar work, genuine warmth underneath it, the Swiss-Italian duo holding both states at once without resolving either. Panic and love aren’t that different as emotional experiences. The song knows this.
