My World was Iggy Azalea’s debut mixtape, dropped in 2011 when she was still a genuine unknown—a teenager from rural New South Wales who’d moved to the American South and absorbed its accent so completely she sounded Georgia-born on tape. The project was raw and deliberately provocative, built around a sexual persona she’d later sand down into radio-friendly pop. Before the cultural-appropriation arguments solidified into consensus and before the crossover hits, there was this: hungry, a little strange, and not quite like anything else circulating at the time.
